Sarah Enright

Sarah Enright is the Accreditation and Development Lead for Montessori Canada, where she is dedicated to ensuring high standards and continuous improvement within Montessori schools. With a robust background in education and a deep commitment to the Montessori philosophy, Sarah empowers teachers and educational institutions through accreditation processes and professional development. Her career has spanned diverse roles, from teaching in Casa, Lower Elementary, and Upper Elementary classrooms, to various administrative positions, including academic department head and Head of School in both Canada and the US. Her expertise is complemented by her advanced academic training, including a Master of Education from Laurier University and ongoing doctoral studies in Educational Leadership at the University of Western.

Sarah’s passion for Montessori education was sparked during her university years, when she had the opportunity to observe in a Montessori Casa classroom. Struck by the beauty of the environment and the remarkable independence of the children, she immediately knew this was the type of classroom she wanted to lead. After gaining years of experience in the classroom, she transitioned into administration and found a passion for supporting educators along their Montessori journey. Through her work with Montessori Canada, she collaborates with a variety of schools, administrators, and educators, helping them navigate the transformative power of Montessori education.

What resonates most deeply with Sarah is the principle of individualization, honoring each person’s unique way of experiencing the world. She believes this is essential for fostering personal growth and the discovery of individual gifts. Her commitment to supporting both students and educators in their journeys of exploration and self-improvement is at the core of her work. One of Sarah’s most fulfilling experiences is reconnecting with past students, families, and colleagues and witnessing the profound impact Montessori environments have had on their lives. Guided by her favourite quote from Maria Montessori “It is not that man must develop in order to work, but that man must work in order to develop,” Sarah finds deep joy in helping others reach their fullest potential.
