Interested in Serving on Our Board?

Montessori Canada’s Board of Directors play an important role in guiding our mission and supporting the growth of Montessori education across Canada.

Board Composition
Our board is comprised of:

  • Heads of Montessori Canada Accredited schools
  • Representatives from Accredited Montessori Teacher Training Institutes
  • Individuals with business and sector-related expertise

School leaders serving as Directors must be leading a Montessori Canada Accredited school.

Opportunities to Serve
There are currently no open positions on the Board of Directors, however, when board positions are available, recruitment occurs in the spring and elections in the fall at the Annual General Meeting (AGM).

We welcome expressions of interest for Board Committee service. Committee involvement is an important pathway to future Board consideration.

Current committees include: Strategic, Governance, Finance, Nominating, and additional committees as required. School leaders who wish to serve on a Board Committee must be leading Montessori Canada Applicant or Accredited school.

We also welcome inquiries from individuals across Canada with expertise in finance, fundraising, marketing and communications, law, government relations, and related fields.
