        Applicant Members

An Applicant Member is taking the first step in working toward the Montessori Canada Accreditation process. Approved by the Montessori Canada Accreditation and Development Lead, an Applicant Member can begin to use the Montessori Canada Applicant logo to demonstrate to families that the school is committed to the Accreditation process and aims to provide students with high-quality, authentic Montessori education. Applicant Members have up to 3 years to complete the process of their initial Montessori Canada Accreditation.

If you’re interested in learning more about becoming an Applicant Member in pursuit of Montessori Canada Accreditation, please contact Montessori Canada Community Services Lead Amy Carter.

        Accredited Members

An Accredited Member is a school that has applied for Montessori Canada Accreditation and successfully completed the rigorous, 12 to 18 month Montessori Canada Accreditation process. This process involves a self-study focused on Montessori best practices and is verified by peers through documentation and a site visit. The school’s commitment to successfully meeting Montessori Canada Accreditation criteria and ongoing improvement and accountability is reviewed annually. Any Substantive Changes (e.g., the addition of a new classroom or program), may require an additional visit to Accredit the changes. Accredited Member schools complete a Reaccreditation process every 5 years. Montessori Canada offers support to guide the school through the process.
